This blog traces the linage of my ancestors Filson, Hunter, Manuwal, Zimmerman, Coplen (Copeland), Severns, Rodabough (Rodabaugh) and Hynes. Back in time, from Indiana to Ohio to Virginia and Pennsylvania and over the ocean to Ireland, England, Germany and places unknown. I hope you enjoy my family history and the joy of genealogy. Hi thank you for your question. That is a picture of my families farm which is close to Inwood, IN, which is a tiny town close to Plymouth, Indiana. The land was purchased in 1863 and the house was built by my Great Great Grandfather Taylor Silvers Filson. We believe the man in the picture is him and the woman would possibly be his first wife Amanda Hunter or his second wife Zonetti Caldwell. The other people are possibly be the children of Taylor and Amanda. My family still owns the farm, it looks very different.
Hello I ran across your blog looking for some of my family history. My maiden name is Coplen, through my grandfather Atrimus Coplen. My nephew is actually named after Asa Coplen. I can remember being so infatuated as a child with a colage of photos of grandma and grandpas house and the sawmill after the tornados hit Telma. I am searching to one day find them. I walked as a child to the little green and white market to buy candy until the day they closed. I love reading your blog! Thank you so much! If you would like to contact me you can email me at kah071908@yahoo.com Kelly

I am also related to the Coplen line through Asa's second wife. Do you have an ancestry.com account. I would like to chat with you more.
